Artist Statement

Queerness has always been political, but right now, it feels like our very existence is under attack. This administration isn’t just using hateful rhetoric—it’s actively working to dismantle our rights, erase our histories, and endanger our futures. They want us to disappear. But we won’t.

For over a decade, I’ve documented the queer community in an out-and-proud, joyful, and unapologetic way—a celebration of who we are. But something is shifting. This moment demands more than celebration; it demands preservation. We need to put a pin in our existence, to mark this moment in time before it is rewritten, censored, or erased.

Queer Time Capsule is that marker. It is a living archive, a collective act of defiance, a refusal to be erased. It will hold our stories, images, and voices—preserving what it means to be queer today, in all its beauty, struggle, and resilience.

This is an open call to those who feel the urgency of this moment. If you, too, feel the need to document your queerness—your pride, your fears, your resistance—I invite you to submit your story. Together, we will ensure that no one can erase us.
